As an Interior Designer at Ware Malcomb, you will create innovative conceptual and schematic designs for interior design projects. You will present design options, shape client goals, and build strong client relationships while driving design excellence. You will guide the design process, collaborate with project teams, and ensure project outcomes meet design intent.

Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Prepares and conducts client presentations while meeting project goals.

Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with clients.

Follow projects from inception through construction in order to maintain design quality and intent.

Conducts programming efforts to facilitate space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment.

Responsible for selection and specification of FFE, all finish materials and artwork. Understands material requirements and preliminary costs.

Supports the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI’s, CO’s, and reviews shop drawings.

Keeping the project team on schedule and on budget while providing a cohesive design.

Coordinates with Project Managers.

Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff in correctly documenting design.

Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, industry partners, and Ware Malcomb team members.

Implements and uses the best practices of Ware Malcomb for all projects and processes.

Contributes in office activities and involved in design community organizations.

Qualifications

7+ years' experience in Interior Architecture & Design.

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College Degree/Certificate in an accredited Interior Architectural related program.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Ability to create complete presentation packages is essential.

Experience in Deltek Vision, Newforma, and MS Office preferred.

Experience in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup.

Proficiency in Revit.

Advanced knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.
