We are seeking a Corporate Development Analyst, who will evaluate partnership opportunities and provide analytical and deal execution support to drive the closing of a high volume of acquisitions. The candidate will join a collaborative and motivated team in a high growth environment with substantial opportunity to create value for all involved. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a strong desire and passion for M&A and business development, working with small business owners and a goal-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

Evaluating and analyzing potential acquisition opportunities

Preparing investment review packages for the management team

Performing due diligence (including managing third-parties), valuation analysis, and proposal development for potential acquisition candidates

Drafting letters of intent, purchase agreements and ancillary documents in conjunction with senior management and members of the board of directors to efficiently close transactions

Managing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes

Wearing multiple hats if needed and being a team player in a fast-growing organization and entrepreneurial environment

Requirements

1-3 years of prior analyst-level experience in accounting, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or direct lending

OR 1-3 years of prior analyst-level experience ideally with a top-tier consulting firm, specifically supporting PE in due diligence or M&A

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques

Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software for analysis and reporting

Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Prior experience at a multi-site acquisition driven organization is a plus, but not required

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degrees a plus

Demonstrates a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth given the exposure to the entire deal process; from sourcing, through integration, to execution

Local to Chicago and able to work 4-5 days per week in the office with the Veterinarian Partners Business Development and Executive teams

Compensation Highly competitive compensation consisting of base salary and an annual performance bonus
