CD&A - Director, Commercial Master Data Management
This leadership position reports to the Executive Director, Data Strategy & Management and is responsible for leading the Commercial Master Data Management Strategy, Stewardship and Governance program. The role collaborates with Executives across Commercial and the Enterprise to identify synergies and advise on Master Data Strategy. It champions Amgens Connected Data capabilities, providing the foundation for connected HCP and Patient data assets used to power business processes, insights, and decisions across the enterprise. Amgens Master Data platforms enable the single source of truth and data connectivity for essential business processes including, but not limited to, Patient Services, Field Execution, Marketing Execution, Analytics, Government Reporting, and more. Location
Flexible commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL office. You will work on-site a minimum of 3 days a week. Responsibilities Define and complete comprehensive Commercial Master Data Management Strategy across key domains - Provider, Payer, Product, Patient, and Consent that support critical business capabilities across the Commercial organization and broader enterprise Develop and execute ongoing Governance program for all Master Data domains to optimize workflows, create timely and accurate data enrichment processes, and ensure compliance Collaborate with leaders and executives across Amgen functions including Commercial, CFoR, and other functional data leadership to identify synergies and integration points Oversee data negotiation and requirements gathering process for all new customers and product data sources Ensure compliant operations and processing of all master data assets, ensuring adherence to applicable local government regulations and Amgen privacy and compliance SOPs across all Master Data domains (Health Care Professionals, Health Care Organizations, Affiliations, Plan/Payer, Product, Patient and Consent) Oversee team accountable for all Master Data operational processes, data curation, and stewardship Establish and lead end to end Data Quality business processes and requirements across Commercial Core Systems (including MDM Systems and upstream and downstream interfaces) Cross-Functional leadership and collaboration for all MDM initiatives, including all US Commercial functions as well as other functions across the enterprise Collaborates with leadership team to understand industry trends; leads vendor evaluations to actively seek out new customer data assets that will enrich Amgens understanding of our customers and support analytics capabilities Ongoing vendor management, including large syndicated data suppliers of customer data Present to executive leadership on Master Data strategy, providing recommendations on how this data can be used to inform decisions Manage multi-million dollar budget Lead, motivate and inspire a growing team of 5 (Associate Director, Senior Manager, Managers, and Senior Associate), as well as large outsourced team

Doctorate degree and 4 years of Data Management, Analytics, Sales and/or Marketing Operations, Value & Access, or a related field OR Masters degree and 8 years of Data Management, Analytics, Sales and/or Marketing Operations, Value & Access, or a related field OR Bachelors degree and 10 years of Data Management, Analytics, Sales and/or Marketing Operations, Value & Access, or a related field In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Drive succinct communication across collaborator teams, effectively translating business stakeholder requirements to IT partners to ensure high quality, timely, coordinated data assets Ability to evangelize, translate, and champion the value of Master Data to enable, integrate, and accelerate business critical capabilities across the enterprise Ability to lead and prioritize an aggressive set of Global deliveries each quarter, driving agile execution and continuous improvement Demonstrated prioritization, organizational and analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize and translate complex technical issues, processes, procedures or solutions Wide range of Analytics/Consultative Skillsets and Experience spanning across different data domains, technology solutions, and therapeutic areas Anticipate business needs and align data access and capability roadmap to deliver value and stay ahead of the pace of business Strong expertise and experience working with secondary data (IQVIA, MMIT, first party sources such as Field CRM, PSP/SP, Digital, etc.) Expertise with relevant data, analytics, and technology solutions (AWS/other cloud platforms, Databricks, Tableau, Python, R, etc.) Strong Oral, Written presentation skills, with ability to simplify complex concepts verbally or visually for collaborators and general audience Develop and nurture productive collaboration and partnership with cross-functional team Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Embody Growth mindset to explore and assess different / emerging applications, including and not limited to data and analytics solutions Consistent track record in identifying, retaining, and developing top talent required to build and sustain a diverse, hard-working team
