Overview
CNN’s digital video production team creates original video content for all CNN digital platforms. We write, produce, shoot and edit, working collaboratively across the organization. Your New Role
The weekend Senior Producer will be a key member of the CNN video organization, leading the weekend team that produces news video for all CNN’s digital platforms. This role will primarily oversee the team’s weekend coverage, monitor the news of the day, make assignments and oversee scripts and edits. The Senior Producer will coordinate closely with newsgathering teams across the globe to bring in the most compelling content, and will work with writers and programmers to ensure the audience’s digital video needs are being met on all relevant stories. They will make smart editorial decisions quickly to best serve the audience what’s new. They should also be prepared to oversee content as well as jump in on script writing, video editing, and publishing. This position can be based in New York, Atlanta or Washington. Planning for and covering the news of the day Managing production resources to create compelling digital video content Generating ideas and assignments to meet audience demands Giving feedback on scripts, edits, and headlines Experimenting on multiple platforms to reach new consumers Coordinating across all CNN bureaus and departments Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of digital video experience in a national or major media market Strong editorial judgment and a proven track record of covering news in video formats Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Expertise in post-production software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid NewsCutter or similar Extensive knowledge of creating video for digital platforms, including social and mobile Excellent organization and communication skills Must be able to work holidays, overnights and extended hours as the news cycle and deadlines require Location

Pay Range: $87,500.00 - $162,500.00 per year. Base pay is one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package. Additional rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
