Holds a high level of delegated underwriting authority for individual risk decisions. In partnership with the Product Leader and Chief Underwriting Officer, drives the strategy for referral triggers and ensures the right checks and balances are in place to enable profitable growth for the line of business. Provides deep technical expertise and may be consulted for account referrals on risks outside the Americas region. Drives the overall product strategy for the Large Commercial underwriting unit in close partnership with the leadership team; ensures the competitiveness of our product and stays abreast of market trends that may influence product evolution; sets a cadence for regular reviews and updates of our proprietary product set. Maintains a deep understanding of the Primary (GL, AL and WC) market and continuously scans the market to ensure our product set remains industry leading and meets evolving client needs. Partners with counterparts across AXA XL to understand the full suite of products, appetite, and opportunities to introduce cross sell options and innovative, integrated solutions. Provides product line depth and effectively liaises with cross functional units, including Credit and Reinsurance Officers, Risk Control, Claims, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance. Helps develop talent within the Product Line team and across the Underwriting unit through mentoring and coaching. Drives priorities for the Product Line team and collaborates with Large Commercial underwriting leadership to influence the broader strategy of the Large Commercial UW unit. Drives portfolio management of the USRM book of business, overses the audit process across the UW book, considers loss implications, and supports the organization in achieving financial and operational goals. Represents AXA XL as an industry thought leader for Large Commercial at key events and conferences alongside brokers, insureds, and potential prospects. Reporting to the Head of Product, Large Commercial. What you will bring / Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent; professional designations such as CPCU, RPLU, or ARM. Deep experience working with Regulatory and Filing Agencies. Extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of underwriting Loss Sensitive Primary Casualty lines (GL, AL and WC) with the ability to translate that experience into thorough technical underwriting guidelines and training modules. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to obtain cooperation from individuals and teams. Ability to draft coverage form language and intimate knowledge of the product development cycle. About AXA XL

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 133,000 - 233,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
