Part Time Marketing & Communications Manager

Overview
The part-time Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for shaping and amplifying the organization’s brand through strategic marketing and effective communications. The manager will work closely with Seatuck’s executive director & director of development to create a cohesive communications program and calendar. This role manages digital and traditional marketing initiatives, drives audience engagement, and ensures consistent messaging that reflects the organization’s mission.
Base pay range:
$30.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Content Creation
Develop and execute marketing campaigns that increase awareness, participation and support for the organization’s initiatives
Manage content calendars for email, social media, and web communications
Design and produce marketing materials
Track marketing analytics and prepare reports to measure campaign effectiveness
Communications & Public Relations
Draft press releases, media statements, and success stories to highlight organizational impact
Ensure consistent branding across all communication channels
Assist development director with promotion of events, sponsorship campaigns and fundraising initiatives
Digital & Social Media Management
Assist with maintaining organization’s website, ensuring timely updates and engaging content
Oversee social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement
Coordinate with staff to ensure communications share “one voice”
Leverage digital tools to enhance online visibility
Internal & External Engagement
Support internal communications to ensure staff alignment with messaging and goals
Assist development staff in cultivating partnerships by providing marketing support and co-branded content
Collaborate with staff to capture and share stories that demonstrate outcomes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
Experience in marketing and communications preferred (nonprofit experience a plus)
Proficient in social media management, email marketing platforms, and content management systems
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
