Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
What You'll Do As a key member of the litigation team, you will actively engage in all phases of the litigation lifecycle. Your responsibilities include:
Investigating facts meticulously, interviewing crucial witnesses, and conducting on-site investigations to gather essential evidence and build compelling case strategies.
Drafting critical legal documents, including persuasive pleadings, comprehensive discovery requests and responses, and impactful motions.
Managing complex discovery processes independently, ensuring no detail escapes your attention and maintaining strict adherence to deadlines.
Collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses, fostering strong professional relationships.
Preparing for and dominating depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances, showcasing your sharp legal acumen and advocacy skills.
Arguing motions in court confidently and preparing cases to go to trial, embracing the challenge and rewarding experience of courtroom advocacy.
What You Bring as a Civil Defense Attorney We are looking for an attorney who possesses a Juris Doctor (JD) and maintains an active South Carolina Bar membership. You bring:
1-6 years of civil defense litigation experience
with a strong preference for candidates who have demonstrated success and gained valuable trial experience.
A proven ability to independently manage a demanding caseload from its initial stages through to its final resolution, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach.
Exceptional legal writing skills to craft clear, concise, and compelling arguments that resonate with judges and juries.
Excellence in legal research, meticulous organization, and effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
