About The Role We're seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Product to lead our performance and reliability initiatives, driving product excellence at scale. This strategic leadership role will be ensure our platform delivers world-class performance and maintaining the highest standards of reliability that our customers depend on.

What You'll Do

Bring strategic leadership to performance across desktop and mobile apps.

Identify critical user flows, metrics, and codepaths to improve performance across desktop and mobile apps.

Build programs and tooling to make performance a core consideration across Slack product, engineering, and design.

Define and execute the long-term product strategy for performance optimization and system reliability.

Partner closely with product, engineering, and design leadership across Slack to ensure performance is a core consideration across teams.

Establish performance benchmarks and reliability metrics that become company-wide standards.

What We're Looking For Experience

8+ years of product management experience, 2+ years experience in senior leadership roles.

Deep expertise in performance optimization, system reliability, and infrastructure products.

Proven track record of scaling products that serve millions of users.

Experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise software, or high-scale consumer applications.

Technical chops

Strong understanding of system architecture, performance monitoring, and reliability engineering.

Familiarity with modern observability tools and practices.

Ability to work closely with engineering teams on complex technical challenges.

Data-driven approach to product decisions with strong analytical skills.

Leadership & Communication

Exceptional ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.

Track record of driving cross-company programs leading to meaningful organizational and technical transformation.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Experience presenting to both C-level executives and technical audiences.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $230,700 to $351,800.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $251,900 to $384,100.
