Plant Manager – Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at a large, complex manufacturing facility with 600+ employees. This role requires a proven track record in continuous line manufacturing, union labor relations, full P&L responsibility, and a demonstrated commitment to building and sustaining a strong safety culture. The Plant Manager will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing and oversee a leadership team of 6–10 direct reports while driving performance across safety, quality, service, and cost. Compensation
Base pay range: $180,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Lead and foster a culture of safety first, ensuring every employee goes home safe every day. Manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring achievement of KPI targets for safety, quality, waste reduction, productivity, and service. Provide strong leadership for plant leadership team members and build organizational capability through coaching, succession planning, and talent development. Oversee all human capital planning and labor relations, including union management, workforce engagement, and performance management. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements across safety, quality, and environmental standards. Ensure robust process controls, manufacturing SOPs, and adherence to customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a high-performance culture throughout the facility. Lead annual budgeting, capital expenditure execution, and financial performance to deliver on the plant’s P&L objectives. Partner cross-functionally to ensure best practice sharing, operational alignment, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field required. 10+ years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 7 years in plant or operations management. Must have continuous line manufacturing experience. Must have union experience with proven success managing labor relations. Must have full P&L leadership experience. Demonstrated passion for safety and ability to lead a strong safety culture. Experience leading in large-scale facilities (400+ employees) with high complexity. Strong financial and business acumen with ability to interpret and act on plant results. Proven track record in continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt preferred). Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
