Overview The Chief Technology Officer will drive the company’s technology vision and execution, ensuring systems, platforms, and innovation initiatives align directly with business objectives in manufacturing and industrial services. This role is both strategic and hands-on, balancing long-term roadmaps with the responsiveness required in a production-driven, multi-site environment. Reporting to the CEO, the CTO will lead ERP and eCommerce optimization, integrate AI solutions, safeguard infrastructure and cybersecurity, and build a high-performing technology team.

Key Responsibilities

Define and drive a technology roadmap that delivers tangible value across operations, supply chain, finance, and sales.

Translate complex business requirements into scalable, cost-efficient technology solutions.

Balance long-term strategic planning with the ability to move quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ERP & eCommerce Oversight

Lead the ongoing optimization of SAP S/4HANA to ensure data accuracy, process standardization, and improved decision-making.

Oversee the performance and integration of SAP Commerce Cloud with ERP and other platforms.

Manage the phased decommissioning or transition of legacy ERP systems while maintaining business continuity.

Innovation Through AI & Automation

Identify high-impact use cases for AI and automation that enhance productivity and profitability.

Create a practical roadmap for adopting innovative technologies across departments.

Partner with business units to implement solutions that elevate both internal workflows and customer experience.

Infrastructure, Security & IT Operations

Ensure the reliability and security of IT operations across all company sites.

Manage hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), disaster recovery, and cybersecurity aligned with recognized frameworks (e.g., NIST).

Develop and enforce clear policies and governance standards that support consistent and efficient operations.

Lead a lean, agile technology team with a focus on accountability, problem-solving, and innovation.

Coach and develop talent across infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies.

Build strong relationships across departments, gaining trust from both plant-floor and executive-level stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

10+ years in a technology leadership role within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Commerce Cloud, preferably in direct-to-consumer (DTC) environments.

Proven track record managing legacy ERP migrations or integrations.

Familiarity with AI, automation, and data-driven process optimization.

Experience in a private equity–backed company is strongly preferred.

Skilled in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and partner management.

Core Competencies

Deep understanding of how technology drives manufacturing, logistics, and commercial operations.

Comfortable working across both shop floor and executive settings.

Technically adept and capable of translating complex topics into accessible insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Proactive and outcome-focused, with strong business acumen.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, industrial IoT, machine data integration, and analytics.

Knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as NIST or CMMC.

Track record of managing third-party technology vendors and consultants.
