The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer, responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and organizational vision in alignment with the mission and values of the organization. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, community stakeholders, and donors to ensure sustainability, effectiveness, and growth of programs and services. This role requires a dynamic, resourceful, and mission-driven leader with a commitment to social justice, community development, and nonprofit excellence. Key Responsibilities

Staff Leadership and Support

Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff and contractors Ensure staff have the tools, training, and support needed to run programs effectively Maintain compliance with employment laws and payroll requirements

Fundraising and Grant Management

Lead grant writing efforts and oversee all grant reporting Coordinate fundraising activities, including the annual Feast Gala Write and coordinate appeal letters and donor communications Build relationships with current and potential donors

Community Engagement and Communication

Represent the agency to the inter-faith community Possess experience working in ecumenical or inter-faith settings Represent the organization to congregations, partners, and the public Oversee the organization’s social media, newsletters, and outreach efforts Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and impact

Board Collaboration and Strategic Planning

Work closely with the Board on strategy, policy, and organizational development Provide regular updates and reports to the Board Support Board initiatives and decision-making

Partnerships and Advocacy

Participate in local coalitions and collaborative efforts (e.g., Homeless Services Collaborative, FEMA Board) Representing the organization at community events and with partner agencies Relate to faith communities who support and participate in TAUM’s work

Operations and Facility Oversight

Ensure the building is safe, well-maintained, and remains insured Oversee annual financial reviews and maintain organizational compliance

Essential Capabilities and Skills

Visionary and strategic leadership with a collaborative management style Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills; grant writing experience preferred Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and team development Public speaking ability for a variety of audiences and settings Solid financial acumen; experience with budgeting, fiscal oversight, and resource allocation Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of leadership and programming Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Theology, Social Work, or a related field preferred Experience:

Proven administrative and leadership experience in a nonprofit or human services organization or congregation, with demonstrated success in fundraising and/or stewardship, program development, and team management Hybrid Position:

Position responsibilities may be handled through a combination of office and remote work environments Hours Per Week:

The candidate can expect to work 40+ hours per week as necessary to meet job goals Work Hours:

Hours will include some nights and weekends Compensation

Salary Range:

$60,000 to $70,000, plus negotiable benefits This job description does not constitute a contract for employment
