Overview The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategies that drive growth across retail, ecommerce, and wholesale channels. This role will focus on expanding revenue streams, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing the brand’s market presence while ensuring alignment with our unique positioning in the luxury vintage space.
Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Partnerships
Develop and implement growth strategies for retail, ecommerce, and wholesale channels, with a focus on both domestic and international markets.
Identify and secure new business opportunities, including new accounts for wholesale activations, brand partnerships, sponsorships, Pop-up and strategic opportunities for the brand.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with businesses, brands and media partners.
Expand the wholesale network by onboarding new accounts, boutiques, and department store partners.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure profitable margins.
Partner with ecommerce teams to identify new online revenue streams, improve conversion rates, and expand global reach.
Leverage data analytics to identify consumer trends and market opportunities.
Brand & Market Development
Represent the company at trade shows, pop up’s, fashion weeks, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends to keep the brand ahead of market shifts.
Work closely with marketing to develop campaigns that support business development initiatives.
Collaborate with merchandising, operations, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within luxury fashion, retail, or related industries.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth across multiple channels.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close high-value deals.
Established network within the fashion and luxury goods industry.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel for market meetings, events, and store visits.
