We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Process Engineer

to support the design, optimization, and execution of advanced hydrogen and clean energy projects. This is a contract position (12–18 months) offering the opportunity to contribute to innovative energy solutions in a rapidly growing sector. The role will focus on process modeling, engineering design, and execution support for hydrogen production, liquefaction, storage, and distribution systems. Responsibilities

Lead process engineering activities for hydrogen and energy-related projects, from conceptual design through detailed execution. Develop and refine

process simulations

(Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, or similar) to model hydrogen production, liquefaction, and distribution systems. Perform mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, and process flow diagram (PFD) and piping & instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development. Provide technical oversight for process safety, risk assessments (HAZOP/LOPA), and compliance with industry codes and standards. Support cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, controls, and project management in delivering high-quality project outcomes. Troubleshoot process issues and recommend solutions for performance improvement and efficiency optimization. Prepare and review engineering documentation, calculations, and technical reports. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering. 7+ years of experience in process engineering, with emphasis in the

energy, hydrogen, or petrochemical industries . Strong background in

process simulation and modeling

(Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, or similar). Demonstrated experience with hydrogen systems, cryogenics, or other gas processing technologies is highly desirable. Solid understanding of process safety (HAZOP, PSM, risk assessments). Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Duration: 12–18 months (potential for extension). Location: Houston, TX (onsite/hybrid depending on project needs). Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Benefits
