Overview
The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for strategy; operational and policy recommendations related to the financial reporting function for the organization. This position will have an immediate impact on a growing organization and daily exposure to our clients executive leadership team. Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial reporting package, similar to 10-Ks, for distribution to internal and external stakeholders according to key deadlines Prepare and review monthly balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows Act as liaison to the external auditors including planning and monitoring interim and year-end audit fieldwork and coordination with business partners Partner with the Investor Relations team and senior stakeholders in the preparation of materials for the quarterly lender call and address investor queries related to financial reports Act as a change agent to streamline, improve and further automate the reporting processes to provide a new perspective on existing processes. Review journal entries and reconciliations as needed Technical Accounting
Proactively identify, research, consult, and draft technical memorandums on accounting issues and disclosures, including new accounting and reporting standards Educate and partner with cross-functional business leaders to ensure understanding and application of various technical accounting matters, compliance with controls and new accounting standards Accounting Policy
Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies, including the review and implementation of process and system changes Develop, implement, and maintain accounting best practices, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Responsible for the general ledger and chart of accounts. Review account roll-ups and classification to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal reporting requirements Perform and review analytical procedures to assist in monthly validations and work with accounting teams to ensure data accuracy Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally including public accounting and corporate reporting Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Proven track record of managing deadlines and cross-functional projects Seniority level
