Overview Project Risk Management Lead

role at HDR. HDR is seeking a candidate to support the Value Engineering/Risk Director in developing strategic visions and tactical plans, participate in hiring processes, manage workshare and project assignments, and lead select cost and schedule risk management workshops or related assignments nationwide. This role will collaborate with other Business Groups, Market Sectors and Business Classes to support client project needs in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Value Engineering/Risk Director in developing strategic visions and tactical plans.

Participate in hiring, manage workshare and project assignments, and provide direct project support in leading risk management workshops or related assignments nationwide.

Collaborate with other Business Groups, Market Sectors and Business Classes to support client project needs.

Participate in business development by supporting or developing project proposals, staffing, identifying sub-consultants, and other duties as necessary.

Involvement in all phases of project development; travel to support project pursuits and delivery nationwide.

Location & Travel The position is within the USA or Canada. Travel is approximately 50% on average, with monthly variations between 25% and 75%.

Utilization & Work Focus The role blends work planning, hiring, and business development with technical delivery. As a seller-doer, you will be actively engaged in project and program work with a steady-state utilization goal of at least 80% on billable project work after the initial year. First 12 months utilization is anticipated to be around 60%. Most work will involve facilitating risk workshops along with quality or technical reviews, leveraging your strengths and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Value Specialist (CVS) with a minimum of 5 years participating (VE Team Member, VE Assistant or VE Facilitator) on VE workshops for major infrastructure projects.

PE License

PMI-RMP Certification

Maintained client relationships with public agencies or other private entities and have a track record of success in this arena.

Minimum of five (5) years in leading cost and schedule risk analysis (CSRA) workshops

Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs.

Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.

Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the transportation and other key markets.

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with client managers, technical directors, business group directors and operations staff.

Be willing to travel domestically up to 75% of their time.

PMP certification

Minimum of five (5) years in leading value engineering services for major infrastructure projects

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field

A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field

Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience

Experienced in development and management of diverse teams

Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts

The expected compensation range depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location. California: $115,731 - $195,390; Washington: $99,950 - $172,845; British Columbia: $139,650- $199,500; Minnesota: $106,400- $159,600; Illinois: $115,616 - $165,165.

Compensation & Benefits The expected compensation range depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Examples include California: $115,731 - $195,390; Washington: $99,950 - $172,845; British Columbia: $139,650 - $199,500; Minnesota: $106,400 - $159,600; Illinois: $115,616 - $165,165.
