Senior Structural Engineer

within a collaborative, growth-focused team. You’ll manage projects from concept through construction, guide junior staff, and deliver impactful work on a wide range of projects — from historic renovations to mixed-use towers, educational facilities, and adaptive reuse developments.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead
structural engineering design
for projects including educational buildings, adaptive reuse, and mixed-use developments
Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and CAD staff; review calculations and drawings for code and quality compliance
Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and owners from kickoff to completion
Conduct
structural assessments , forensic analysis, and value engineering reviews
Represent the firm at client meetings, construction sites, and with local permitting authorities in Charlotte and across North Carolina
Support office leadership with quality control and business development
What you’ll bring:
8–10+ years of experience in
structural engineering or building design
Project experience with commercial, residential, institutional, or adaptive reuse buildings
Proficiency in
Revit Structure
and structural analysis software ( RAM, RISA, ETABS , etc.)
Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership skills
A client-focused approach with proven ability to manage multiple priorities
Willingness to travel occasionally to nearby North Carolina office locations as needed
