Robotic Engineer

role at

Hyphen Connect . We are hiring for one of our ecosystem projects - a pioneering tech company developing a groundbreaking cross-platform robot operating system infused with AI, whose mission is to create robots that learn rapidly, are easy to train, and excel at interacting dynamically with both their environment and humans. Building vision-language-action models (VLAMs) and integrating them with other AI technologies to enable robots to understand and interact with the physical world. We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to join our dynamic robotics team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and optimizing robotic systems, focusing on advanced navigation and mapping solutions to enhance the capabilities of our AI-driven robots. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy robotic systems using ROS2, SLAM, and Nav2 for robust navigation and mapping. Independently deploy SLAM and Nav2 stacks on real robots and bring up full navigation pipelines. Integrate AI-driven vision-language-action models (VLAMs) with robotic systems to enable dynamic interaction with environments and humans. Optimize robotic systems for performance, reliability, and scalability in real-world applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI and software engineers, to align robotic systems with project objectives. Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of robotic systems in both simulated and real-world environments. Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience with ROS2, SLAM, and Nav2 for robotic navigation and mapping. Proven ability to independently deploy SLAM and Nav2 stacks on physical robots and establish complete navigation pipelines. Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ for robotics development. Familiarity with sensor integration (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) and real-time robotic control systems. Experience with simulation tools such as Gazebo or RViz for testing and development.
