As a Principal Recruiter, you'll lead recruitment for senior technical roles. You'll work with recruiting tools and collaborate with talented teammates who share your drive for excellence. Your strategic insight will help shape how we attract and secure top engineering talent. You'll be at the center of identifying and attracting the technical visionaries who shape Amazon's future. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to directly impact Amazon's technological leadership. Key responsibilities

Lead strategic talent acquisition for Amazon's most senior engineering roles, driving significant impact on the company's technological advancement. Act as a trusted talent advisor to senior leadership, providing critical insights and guidance on high-level technical hiring decisions. Develop and execute innovative, multi-faceted recruiting strategies to engage the total addressable market of engineering talent in a competitive landscape. Cultivate and maintain extensive networks within the tech industry, leveraging these relationships to build a robust pipeline of top-tier candidates. Autonomously manage end-to-end recruiting processes for key positions, from initial outreach to offer negotiation and closing. Collaborate with research teams to identify emerging talent pools and pioneer new approaches to candidate engagement and assessment. Lead client update meetings with executives, clearly communicating progress and strategizing on complex hiring challenges. Conduct in-depth evaluations of senior candidates, including exploratory calls, interviews, and reference checks. Drive continuous improvement in Amazon's technical recruiting practices by sharing insights, writing influential documents, and implementing innovative solutions. Demonstrate thought leadership by contributing to the company's knowledge base on industry trends, talent landscapes, and effective hiring strategies. Coach hiring managers and leaders to enhance their talent acquisition capabilities, particularly for senior and executive-level roles. Adapt to new technical domains quickly to assess and attract specialized engineering talent. Tackle complex recruiting challenges with creativity and persistence, finding solutions when traditional methods fall short. Embody Amazon's leadership principles, especially raising the bar for hiring standards. Balance multiple high-priority searches with strong project management and stakeholder communication skills. Basic Qualifications

10+ years of progressive corporate and/or search firm recruiting experience with a focus on science and/or engineering candidate generation in a complex and competitive market 5+ years advising, influencing & hiring at the executive level Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
