Superior Court of California, County of Riverside . This position is located at the Larson Justice Center in Indio, CA and will provide support to the Desert Region, including Blythe, Indio, and Palm Springs courthouses. Responsibilities

Mediates disputes involving child custody and visitation and provides expert recommendations to the court. Works closely with parents, legal professionals, and community agencies. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, analytical, and clinical skills and a commitment to child welfare and family well-being. Qualifications

Master s degree in psychology, social work, marriage, family and child counseling, or other behavioral science substantially related to marriage and family interpersonal relationships. Two (2) years of experience in counseling or psychotherapy, preferably in a setting related to the areas of responsibility of the family conciliation court and with a diverse population to be served. Location and Travel

This position will support the Desert Region, which includes Blythe, Indio, and Palm Springs. Travel will be required 10-25% of the time to locations within the region as needed. Application Process

This recruitment will remain open until the needs of the Court have been met and may close at any time. The deadline for first-round consideration is a date to be determined. Step I: Applications will be reviewed to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications; those candidates may be referred to Step II. Step II: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be reviewed by Subject Matter Experts and may be invited to participate in the examination process. Step III: Candidates will complete an online and/or in-house written pass/fail examination to assess knowledge, skills, and abilities; candidates must pass the assessment to advance to the oral interview. Step IV: An oral panel interview (weighted 100%). Those candidates who are successful in the interview may be placed on an eligible list. Placement on an eligible list is not a guarantee of employment. Additional steps include a drug test, background and reference checks. Education and Licenses

Education and licensure requirements align with the qualifications above; Licenses may include LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, LEP, or other registered professionals. Continuing Education and Requirements

Continuing Education: 8 hours of related programs per calendar year; 4 hours of domestic violence training per calendar year (California Rules 5.210 and 5.215). All CCRCs must complete 16 hours of advanced domestic violence training within the first 12 months of employment. Travel and Regional Coverage

This position will support the Desert Region which includes court locations in Blythe, Indio and Palm Springs; travel will be required 10-25% of the time, as needed. Benefits
