About the Opportunity Join our team as a Principal Engineer to help shape the future of market research software by driving engineering excellence, leading architectural initiatives, and delivering high-performance, cloud-native systems.

We are seeking a proven engineering leader with experience designing and operating scalable, distributed systems in Azure, and a passion for shipping well-architected, reliable software. This role combines deep technical ownership with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Accomplish in Your First 6–12 Months Drive Engineering Strategy

Design and implement a full Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategy for key distributed systems that include components such as CosmosDB, SQL Azure, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Lead the development of CI/CD pipelines that ensure fast, reliable, and secure software delivery across environments.

Own Distributed Systems Design

Architect and deliver new product features that scale with business growth while meeting strict requirements for availability, performance, and maintainability.

Debug and resolve complex issues across distributed services and asynchronous messaging patterns.

Elevate Quality and Observability

Audit and improve current testing strategies (unit, integration, acceptance, performance), and drive adoption of a robust, automated testing framework across teams.

Lead initiatives to optimize observability using logs, metrics, traces, and alerting — improving proactive incident detection and system health insights.

What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience with cloud-native development on Azure (CosmosDB, Azure SQL, Service Bus, AKS, etc.) with a strong focus on performance, resilience, and scalability

Proven experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers

Deep understanding of CI/CD principles, automated testing, and DevOps best practices

Deep understanding of multitenant systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage across engineering, product, and leadership

Ability to travel 25-35% domestically (mostly to Denver, but potential for other US locations as needed) if remote; if Denver metro, onsite office presence is required
