Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Director (HRD) is responsible for ensuring the efficient administration and management of all human resources functions. The
Human Resources Director
serves on the Executive Committee and must be highly visible to employees throughout the hotel. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Positive Culture Builder within our People-First organization. Strategic leadership for HR teams at both properties. Training and mentoring. Employee recognition and retention champion. We love to celebrate successes. Impactful leader in employee relations matters. Strong mentor to HR managers and team. Compliance with statutory requirements and all state laws. Budgeting and the coordination of related activities in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives. Ensuring employees are developed and utilized to their maximum potential by controlling the implementation, administration, and monitoring of all training programs. Ensuring the HR function complies with state and federal laws and regulations by reviewing current practices, implementing new procedures, and communicating any new requirements. Maintaining all hotel personnel records and HR files, ensuring confidentiality. Qualifications
The ideal Human Resources Director (HRD) candidate will bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience required. 3 years of Human Resources experience required. Knowledge of Federal & State laws pertaining to HR. Strong employee relations experience. Hospitality experience preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a demanding environment. Payroll knowledge required. Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $120,000.00/year - $140,000.00/year, based on qualifications and experience. Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr. Location
Inn at Perry Cabin, St. Michaels, Maryland (Eastern Shore). Benefits
