Overview

San Diego State University’s Department of Educational Leadership, College of Education, is accepting applications for a part-time lecturer pool for Academic Year 2025-2026. Applications are invited from prospective temporary faculty with expertise or experience in Educational Leadership, school supervision, and organizational leadership. Responsibilities

Temporary appointments may be full- or part-time and are often made just prior to the start of the academic term. The Fall term runs mid-August to late-December; the Spring term runs mid-January to mid-May; Summer Session opportunities may also be available. Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, and are renewabled based on satisfactory evaluations and continuing availability of work. Assignments in the lecturer pool are determined by teaching needs and may include teaching courses in the identified areas. Qualifications

Graduate degree in educational leadership or related field University teaching experience or supervision of clinical practices Demonstrated currency in subject matter Preferred: California licensure in administrative services Application Instructions

Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range. As of July 2024, the salary ranges are: Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677 Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224 Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523 Lecturer D: $8,593 - $15,211 Background Checks and Equal Opportunity
