Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) provides global leadership and advisory services across industries. TAG professionals specialize in buy-side and sell-side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, and related M&A services for private equity, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, family offices, and corporate clients worldwide. The Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) practice helps clients uncover actionable insights across the investment lifecycle from pre-deal to post-deal analysis using data analytics and analytics-as-a-service.
Responsibilities
Lead numerous client engagements
Effectively manage day-to-day client interaction and relationships
Proactively contribute to business development opportunities
Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with senior members across multiple deals
Work cohesively and collaboratively across stakeholders
Counsel and mentor junior members of the team and continue to develop the team’s technical acumen
Proactively recruit, train, and develop junior staff members, including teaching training classes as applicable
Qualifications
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analytics or transaction services
Buy-side/vendor due diligence experience across industries preferred
Understanding of M&A / PE investment lifecycle preferred
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems or a related field
Understanding of data extraction, manipulation, analytics and visualization approaches
Strong technical background with hands-on data analytics experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relational databases/SQL querying, Alteryx, business intelligence/visualization (Tableau preferred), big data and machine learning concepts
Ability to leverage business intelligence software
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a through yet concise manner
Exceptional project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor
Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings
Salary and Benefits The base salary is $160,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program is offered based on individual and firm performance. Details are provided by the recruiter.
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal’s fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
