Vestas has released a fantastic opportunity and is looking for an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join our PPS Commissioning and HV operations team. This role will manage HV works at our wind farm in Western Australia on a rotating roster of 3:1 or 5:2 whichever suits best. Vehicle and Accommodation provided by Vestas. Responsibilities

Manages all High Voltage (HV) works for the Wind Farm as HV Responsible Officer (HVRO), coordinating HV work of the Electrical contractor and HV Authorized Persons. Produces switching programs, executes HV switching, isolation, earthing, identifies the point of work, and issues safety documentation for HV networks in accordance with Vestas HV Safety Rules. Facilitates a safe working environment during high-voltage work. Participates in Safety in Design Reviews. Witnesses inspections and tests of electrical components and infrastructure, including FATs. Reports on progress of inspections/tests and QA/QC submissions. Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical queries are addressed. Liaises with and provides feedback to Melbourne-based personnel (Commissioning Manager). Monitors BOP progress and contributes to deriving solutions or mitigation measures if delays occur. Participates in and coordinates HAZCOM meetings during the commissioning phase. Supervises electrical construction activities, pre-commissioning and HV commissioning of Electrical Balance of Plant. Prepares Switching Programs and HV commissioning inspection/test plans for initial energization. Reviews Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and QA packs submitted by Subcontractors, and reports on site day-to-day progress on electrical equipment installation, pre-commissioning and HV commissioning. Participates in final walkdown for punch listing. Maintains a good working relationship with the onsite client and contractors. Ensures compliance with scope requirements; completes assigned works on time and within budget. Attends site and progress meetings to contribute expert knowledge in these areas. Brings standards compliance knowledge to the team. Ensures all work carried out follows Quality and Site Safety requirements. Informs the Construction Manager and Site Electrical Engineer on work progress and potential issues at all times. Identifies risks to the execution plan or electrical construction schedule and advises the Site Manager and Site Electrical Engineer. Resolves site coordination problems with contractors and agrees on solutions. Forecasts, monitors and orders tools, equipment, parts/components, and labor as required; ensures availability when needed. Coordinates and manages subcontractors at remote site locations throughout the electrical works phase (e.g., UG HV cabling, HV substation, WTG RMU buildings, communications networks, and reactive power support). Qualifications

Electrical License Unrestricted TAFE or post-graduate qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory Experience with substation construction highly valued Experience with MV/HV cable reticulation and transmission construction highly valued Management of subcontractors in a site-based, construction environment Experience in construction of Wind farms beneficial but not mandatory Experience in negotiation with major stakeholders, both clients/contractors Strong verbal and written communication/negotiation Relationship building, both internal and external Ability to ensure safe and controlled operations within a high-pressure environment Advanced use of MS Office Extensive knowledge in construction and commissioning large-scale plants Constructability review of electrical design in a construction environment A well-developed knowledge of industrial legislation, Australian standards, site specific standards and local Laws Proven ability to provide a mentoring role to improve team members' skills Safety and Risk Awareness What We Offer
