Senior Property Manager

About the Role As a
CBRE Senior Property Manager , you will be responsible for supervising the team responsible for all operational and financial activities of a portfolio of properties.
What You’ll Do
Provide formal supervision to Property Management staff. Monitor training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Respond to escalated tenant needs and issues.
Act as primary contact with property owners, serving as owner representative to ensure objectives are met. Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and complete reports.
Develop and control annual budgets for operating and capital expenses. Forecast management plans and prepare monthly performance reports, explaining variances.
Help create programs that will assist the property with emergency recoveries.
Prepare all required legal notices for approval.
Review tenant rent and common area maintenance recovery charges to ensure payment is on time.
Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
Apply knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant commercial experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of commercial real estate experience and education will be considered.
Candidates must have prior experience managing Class A office buildings in New York City, with a strong understanding of local operational standards and compliance requirements.
Experience working with Fortune 100 tenants is strongly preferred, including direct oversight of high-profile corporate occupancies and service delivery expectations.
Active real estate license is required.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate the team and impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

Salary and Benefits (New York) The minimum salary for the Senior Property Manager is $170,000/year and the maximum salary is $200,000/year. The compensation offered will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. The role includes benefits: 401k, dental, health, life, and vision insurance.
