About The Role We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Senior Producer/Editor to join The Athletic Football Show. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the production process of our podcast, owning the audio post-production process, developing engaging content, and ensuring that each episode is of the highest quality. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with podcasts, YouTube, and social media, and be passionate about football, storytelling and digital media.

Responsibilities

Show Production:

Assist the entire production process from pre-production planning to final delivery

Manage scheduling, coordination, and logistics to ensure smooth episode execution

Studio Production:

Operate remote cameras for live and recorded in-studio productions

Run graphics and perform audio quality control for live and recorded in-studio productions

Editing & Post-Production:

Edit episode audio to produce high-quality content, and publish episodes to our distribution platforms.

Ensure consistency in style and sound quality across all segments

Content Research & Segment Development:

Conduct thorough research to identify compelling topics and trends relevant to our audience, and key stats for our on-air talent

Create and script segments that add value and drive listener engagement

Rundown Creation:

Collaborate with the TAFS team to ensure content is engaging and on-brand.

Contribute to episode rundowns that outline segment order, timing, and content flow

Digital Media & Social Integration:

Work closely with our social media producer to adapt content for various platforms, including full horizontal episodes and vertical cutdowns

Identify potential video and audio clips for distribution on YouTube and other social channels

Collaboration & Communication:

Coordinate with hosts, guests, and team members to gather content and feedback

Manage deadlines and provide regular updates on production progress

Requirements

Proven experience in podcast production, video editing, and social media content creation

Proficiency with audio and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)

Strong research skills and the ability to develop creative content segments.

Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills

Familiarity with YouTube platform dynamics and social media best practices.

A passion for digital storytelling and an eye for detail

Experience in creating content that drives audience engagement and growth

Passion and enthusiasm for, and intellectual curiosity about, all things football

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Experience working in an in-studio environment

Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary range for this role is $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
