Overview:
Our client is seeking an IT Manager - Networks who will plan, execute, and manage network initiatives in the enterprise, including the implementation of new technologies and management of the existing network environment.
Responsibilities:
The engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Managing project teams to effectively translate and incorporate strategic objectives into the organization's network technology roadmap.
- Managing the installation and integration of new networks and related equipment.
- Hands-on involvement with Cisco network solutions, including:
Developing strategies for IPv6 conversions.
Designing and building MPLS network clouds leveraging Cisco network devices.
Implementing WAN infrastructures within Data Center environments.
Working with vpls, otv, IPv6 & protocol 6-12.
- Communicating with management in oral and written forms.
Qualifications:
No clearance required.
Desired Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree strongly preferred.
Desired Experience:
Typically 4-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer with knowledge in:
LANs, MANs, and WANs
Network routing and switching
Firewalls
Phone systems including PBX and VoIP
VSAT technology
VPN technology
Call accounting systems
Unified Messaging
Immersive Video conferencing and integration
Data-center, server room, IDF, and cabling infrastructure management
Management experience with 3-5 years as a team lead or project manager, including:
Requesting project approval from IT management
Team resource allocation
Status and closure reporting
Overseeing internal processes, audits, assessments (HIPAA, SOX, etc.)
Serving as an expert to security staff with possible on-call escalation
Managing production requests/issues and analyzing them
Implementing business-relevant solutions for resolution
Desired Certifications:
Current CCNE certification; PMP Certification is a plus.
