Job Description
SUMMARY: Develops and maintains internal and external JAVA web-based applications, including quality assurance. Works in a team environment with developers and project managers on projects. Supports the integration of hardware and software systems, and generates related documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop software to support the NASA SEWP Program. Review general requirements, break down and design system components and interfaces. Develop, test, and support customer-facing and internal web applications. Use existing design patterns to improve design and manageability of code. Collaborate with Java Developers and internal stakeholders. Document system design, component design, interface design, and code for maintainability. Adhere to project schedules and proactively resolve or escalate issues. Contribute to a fast-paced, agile application development environment. Provide weekly status reports and submit timesheets promptly. Support software maintenance after core business hours, nights, or weekends. Provide Level II customer support via phone, Parature, and for existing web applications.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 3 years of web development experience using a JAVA Framework such as
Spring . Minimum of 3 years experience with SQL Server or ORACLE databases. Experience with JBoss, Hibernate or myBATIS, Maven, AJAX web applications, GIT, and knowledge of CMMI/Software Development Process is preferred. Agile Development experience is preferred.
