BigData Solutions Architect

Reporting into the CTO, the Technical Solutions Architect will be engaged in detailed technology assessments to recommend and validate that technology and architecture are appropriate solutions for our clients. Translates business domain roadmaps into a technology roadmap aligned with the broader enterprise data architecture roadmap. Serves as the subject matter expert for the technology used in the domain to address technology integration, migration, and infrastructure framework questions. Works with internal and customer resources to understand emerging technologies, technical roadmaps, and their application to the customer environment. Partners with internal and client resources to provide technical direction during project initiation. Guides the engagement and Hadoop engineering team on the implementation of architecture-related strategies, concepts, and tools. Collaborates with the Technical Project Management team to identify technical skills and training required to support new technologies. Develops solution alternatives to meet business needs, considering costs and risks for trade-off decisions. Qualifications

Requirements: 7+ years of experience in Big Data and Professional Services or related field. Demonstrated technical leadership. Extensive technical and architectural leadership experience in designing and developing distributed databases across platforms and large data sets. 10 years of development experience integrating distributed technology platforms.
