Eurofins Environment Testing in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Specialty Metals Department Manager. The Department Manager will supervise all department staff, provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and support the companys mission, vision, and values in collaboration with the Business Unit Manager. Responsibilities include: Leading, scheduling, and training staff Maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency Managing coverage and performance Fostering team morale and collaboration Representing the laboratory in technical meetings Overseeing technical activities, quality control, and record keeping Ensuring safety and environmental compliance Building client and industry relationships Supporting marketing and business development efforts Managing departmental operations and financial performance Participating in strategic planning and capital investment proposals Conducting staff performance reviews and handling employee relations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field; MS or PhD preferred Familiarity with EPA methods and instrumentation listed in the original description Minimum 5 years supervisory experience Proven success in laboratory operations, leadership, and continuous improvement Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional details: Full-time, exempt position, hours may vary Salary range: $85K - $120K annually Authorized to work in the US without restriction Eurofins offers competitive benefits and encourages applicants who may not meet 100% of the requirements to apply.
