Roku seeks a Senior Manager, Business Operations for Viewer Product. Reporting directly to the VP of Viewer Product, you will drive operational excellence, streamline resource utilization, and shape how we build products across Roku OS devices, the Roku Channel App, Mobile Apps, and our Consumer AI platform that powers personalization.

About the team

Roku’s Viewer Product team owns the end-to-end experience for hundreds of millions of viewers who hit OK on their Roku remote daily. We design, build, and optimize experiences—from the Roku OS home screen, Live TV Guide, and Sports Zone to the Channel App on platform and off-platform—backed by a Consumer AI personalization engine used across experiences and billions of searches. Our global squad spans multiple locations and includes product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Resource Optimization: Lead quarterly and annual planning for 500+ team members across product, engineering, and UX, aligning $150M+ in annual headcount budget to strategic goals. Identify gaps and reallocate resources to maximize business outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Drive critical programs and special projects across Product, Engineering, UX, Analytics, Ads, Subscriptions, Devices, and FP&A—acting as the VP’s proxy when needed.
  • Operational Excellence & AI Adoption: Identify friction points and implement AI-driven tools and processes. Facilitate strategic forums, including bi-weekly leadership syncs and semi-annual off-sites.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Create clear, impactful reports and presentations for cross-functional stakeholders and quarterly business reviews; provide candid, data-driven insights to enable quick, informed decisions.

Qualifications

  • 6–12 years in business operations, product/program operations, or product management in fast-paced tech environments.
  • Direct, candid communication and ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Passion for emerging AI technologies and experience driving their adoption within teams.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Jira, Confluence, and AI tools in daily work.
  • Strong business judgment (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker.
  • This role accelerates your path to Director-level leadership in Product, Business Operations, or General Management, expanding operational expertise, strategic impact, and executive network at one of the world’s largest streaming platforms.
  • AI literacy and curiosity: either have tried Gen AI in previous work or are curious and have explored it.

Compensation & Benefits

For California, the estimated annual salary for this position is between $210,000 - $315,000. Compensation packages are based on factors including skill set, certifications, and location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
