THE POSITION
As the Principal Application/System Sales Engineer, you will serve as the key technical expert responsible for creating and documenting standard applications and reference architectures to support sales in your assigned vertical market. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to understand customer needs, develop customized solutions, and deliver impactful demonstrations and presentations. Your deep product knowledge and ability to communicate value will be critical in driving sales growth. You will also provide technical guidance, conduct training, and build strong customer relationships to ensure successful solution deployment and satisfaction. Your role is pivotal in facilitating sales of complex application/system solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to business growth.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Extensive experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, preferably related to application/system solutions.
- Deep knowledge of Honeywell's products and applications, with the ability to communicate their value effectively.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills to understand complex customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a technical environment.
- Strong customer relationship management skills for maintaining long-term client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design the extra low voltage system infrastructure for customer facilities, including all interfaces.
- Document and maintain design choices, considering functional and financial impacts.
- Support the development of technical relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Assist the sales team in developing global key accounts.
- Lead pre-sales technical engagements, developing tailored engineering solutions based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with teams to define system architecture, technical specifications, and integration requirements.
- Analyze customer applications to develop optimal technical solutions.
- Support sales activities, including review of RFQs, specifications, and compliance standards.
- Participate in conferences to present solutions, value propositions, and technical differentiators.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies in relevant verticals.
