We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect with a strong background in Promotions domain and Omnichannel retail solutions , with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP ). This role will be responsible for designing scalable, resilient, and secure solutions to enable seamless promotions across digital and physical customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead end-to-end solution architecture for retail promotions across channels (POS, e-commerce, mobile apps).
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using services like GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Apigee.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to define scalable promotional logic and ensure consistent customer experience across channels.
• Integrate promotions platforms with core systems such as customer data platforms, loyalty engines, order management, and pricing.
• Define reusable architecture patterns and APIs to support omnichannel promotions such as BOGO, personalized offers, bundle pricing, etc.
• Leverage GCP-native tools for monitoring, security, CI/CD, and cost optimization.
• Guide and mentor development teams on architecture implementation, best practices, and performance optimization.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards including security, scalability, and observability.
• Provide technical leadership on vendor evaluations for promotions engines and GCP services.
• Drive innovation by exploring new Google Cloud capabilities and their potential application in the promotions domain.
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and solution design.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing promotions systems in retail or ecommerce.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services.
• Proficiency in microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of omnichannel retail processes and promotional strategy execution.
• Experience with promotional engines such as Salesforce Promotion Builder, Oracle Retail Promo Engine, or similar platforms or custom promo engines.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or related certification.
• Experience in headless commerce, MACH architecture, or composable commerce platforms.
• Working knowledge of data streaming and analytics tools like Apache Beam, Dataflow, or Looker.
• Familiarity with customer segmentation, loyalty programs, and personalization engines.
