We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Material Management and Logistics to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for critical materials in development, clinical, and commercial cell therapy. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain and Procurement, this role will manage material planning, inventory, warehousing, cold chain logistics, and distribution to ensure GMP/CLIA compliance and uninterrupted patient delivery. The position is key to scaling supply chain infrastructure while safeguarding the timely, compliant movement of temperature-sensitive materials, including patient-derived samples, leukapheresis, and drug product.

What Youll Do:

As a Sr. Manager, Material Management and Logistics , you will play a key role in supporting our Supply Chain and Procurement operations:

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team across material planning, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and inventory management.
  • Act as a role model for team members with respect to earning their trust by your own attendance, keeping your word, personal behaviors, transparent/frank communication, and execution of personal assignments.
  • Hire team members that will fit the job, company culture and team dynamics.
  • Distribute work appropriately among team members.
  • Organize and manage team members time/schedules and assignments, keep track that team members are utilizing their time in meaningful assignments that will move the company forward.

Technical

  • Manage the receiving, storing, and shipping of all GMP materials, products, and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they meet the company's quality and delivery requirements.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all GMP materials, products, and equipment meet the required quality standards.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product launches and supply chain optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure that all GMP material management activities are performed in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of material management best practices and industry standards.
  • Oversee GMP-compliant material handling processes for raw materials, consumables, and drug products in a regulated environment.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Clinical Operations to align material availability with production schedule and clinical timelines.

Secondary Functions:

  • Partner with Operational Excellence to drive Lean/DMAIC principles and projects
  • Manage spending, budgets forecasts, and cost saving challenges
  • Partner with site leaders for digital strategy alignment and implementation (LIMS, WMS, ERP)
  • Partner with Procurement to maintain Master Data and alignment with P2P processes

Required Experience and Education:

  • Working knowledge of biotech supply chain activities (cGMP, 21CFR211)
  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years experience in Life Sciences/Biotech
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Ideal candidates will have experience in the Life Sciences and/or Supply Chain or related to the Biotechnology industry.

  • Warehouse environment including temperature controlled, refrigerated rooms. Exposure to extreme temperatures including deep freeze and extreme heat. (~30%)
  • Typical office and lab environment with moderate noise levels and uses phone, computer, office equipment and supplies on a regular basis. Other duties performed while outside of office building could involve exposure to manufacturing operations, along with outdoor conditions and temperatures. (~70%)

Travel required: Local travel may be required <10%

  • Communicating Verbally expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others to convey detailed spoken instructions or other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Hearing the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds one-on-one, group or conference, telephone, and other sounds.
  • Keyboarding entering data or text into a computer or other machine by means of a keyboard. Devices include a traditional keyboard, 10 key-pad, touch screens and others.
  • Lifting - raising or lowering an object (up to 25 lbs) from one level to another (includes upward pulling). Carrying is to transport an object usually by holding it in the hands or arms but may occur on the shoulder.
  • Near Visual Acuity clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (working with small objects, reading small print, including the use of computers).
  • Pushing - Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the object.
  • Pulling - Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force.
  • Sitting remaining in a sitting position for at least 50% of the time.
  • Standing/Walking - remain on one's feet in an upright position at a workstation.
  • Stooping occasional bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist - requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
