Chamberlain Advisors is currently conducting a search seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis for its direct client, a rapidly growing PE-backed industrial automation platform. The Senior Manager of FP&A will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across corporate and operating entities. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees variance analysis, financial modeling, KPI tracking, and board reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and driving strategic insights. Additionally, the Senior Manager of FP&A will collaborate with executives on M&A, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration, while also supporting ERP implementations and process improvements. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, data-driven finance professional to drive financial strategy, process improvements, and operational efficiency in a dynamic and growing organization.
The Senior Manager of FP&A is a newly created role and pivotal to executing growth strategy. The role plays a critical role in driving the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholdersincluding supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and procurementto drive business performance, cost efficiency, and operational decision-making. The Senior Manager of FP&A will provide actionable insights through financial modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting. You will work closely with the CFO and executive leadership team as well as assist with supporting the private equity sponsors and Board. This position is the primary liaison between finance and our operational teams. Responsibilities will include working with the team on estimating, program set-up, execution and delivery of our custom automation equipment and service. Key activities include active preparation for and participation in operational program meetings, cost analysis, ensuring accurate and timely program billing, monitoring program execution to budget and forecast outcomes from a revenue and margin perspective. This position will also own overhead rate financial models and variance analysis. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial to success in the role as are excellent communication skills.

- Accounting, Financial Planning, Analysis, & Reporting A CPA-level candidate is preferred, with expertise in financial planning and analysis, ensuring transparency into business performance. The role involves leading the preparation of annual operating budgets, managing short- and long-range (1, 3, and 5-year) planning and forecasting, and collaborating with functional leaders to ensure accurate and strategic budgeting. Responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, KPIs, and variance analysis while developing reporting packages for the executive team and Board. - Prepare consolidation of entities including ownership of financial model (P&L/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow) and support weekly / month cash flow forecasting process.
- Partner with operations leadership to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for operations functions.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support scenario planning, capital expenditures, and operational initiatives.
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Development and Monitoring: Track relevant KPIs (e.g., labor efficiency, backlog, vendor performance) and help drive accountability across operations teams.
- Analyze estimated and actual costs by program including budget/forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Own the standard overhead cost model for all sites. Analyze and communicate variances between standard and actual manufacturing costs.
- Set up new programs in ERP system, work with the accounting team to ensure programs are billed when milestones are achieved and follow up with the programs team and / or customer on collections, ensuring alignment with cash flow forecast.
- Analyze and monitor program material procurement timing and costs to ensure alignment with revenue and cash forecasting.
- Work with engineering and program management on labor utilization reporting and forecasting.
- Drive process improvements and automation of reporting tools using AI tools, Excel, Power BI, or other analytics platforms.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and financial procedures.
- Ad hoc analytical projects as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive in financial analysis in a manufacturing or construction industry company.
- Strong understanding of percentage of completion accounting, cost accounting, and operational metrics.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred. Ability to learn new software products required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
