Examples of DutiesThe primary duties of this position include light to heavy manual labor, such as collecting refuse, recycling, and brush, as well as handling special pickups. Other responsibilities include serving as a municipal yard attendant at drop-off sites and operating large trucks and motorized vehicles with various capacities, as well as specialized equipment.Additional duties may consist of snow and ice operations, emergency work, hauling multiple materials, and completing seasonal tasks such as hot-tar crack filling, concrete work, asphalt maintenance and repair, using a Vac-All, and assisting other divisions as needed.Job Description QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this position is a positive individual who is comfortable using technology, adapts easily to shifting priorities within the department and the City, and can interact well with a diverse range of people, including City employees and the public.
