Operates a variety of heavy and medium equipment to include dump trucks, farm tractors, and backhoes to dig trenches, spread dirt and gravel, haul dirt and debris, and cut grass and weeds. Responsible for performing certain minor preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent, and 1 to 2 years of experience in the operation of heavy motorized equipment or any combination of training and experience.Possession of a Class A Commercial driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with good driving record mandatory. Certification as a State Category 60 Registered Technician for pesticide application required or, must be willing to obtain such certification within 6 months of employment.Safety shoes required.Requires an acceptable criminal background check.
