Supply Specialist

As a Supply Specialist, you will perform essential materials, distribution, and logistics tasks within the Materials Management department, supporting clinical activities within the medical complex. Your primary duties include determining replenishment requirements, locating, selecting, documenting, and distributing medical supplies, as well as documenting receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Determine replenishment requirements for medical supplies.
  • Locate and select medical supplies for distribution.
  • Document the issue and distribution of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform inventory management tasks, including picking, packing, and material handling.
  • Utilize RF scanners for order picking and inventory management.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties using SAP and other logistics tools.
  • Conduct packaging, labeling, and warehouse inventory tasks.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Perform recordkeeping tasks, physical inventories, and quality control checks.
Essential Skills
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • One year of related work experience.
  • Ability to work rotating weekends, rotating shifts, and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to stand on feet all day.
  • Physical ability to pick orders and stock shipments.
  • Understanding of how to use scanners to record materials.
  • Experience in material handling and logistics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in using scan guns for shipping and receiving tasks.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and based within a hospital. The atmosphere is team-oriented, with a dress code of scrubs or office casual with sneakers. Shift times include Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and some holidays, with shifts running from 5 am to 1:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
