Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience operating forklifts, including reach and sit-down types, and be proficient with RF scanners. Experience with turret trucks and SAP is a plus. You should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and have familiarity with cycle counts and sample checks. As this position is within a food facility, adherence to GMPs is essential. You will be responsible for storing materials and must be comfortable with stacking and loading patterns.ResponsibilitiesOperate sit-down or stand-up forklifts to load/unload trucks and stage pallets.Conduct cycle counts to check shipments and maintain accurate inventory records.Perform sample checks and ensure all materials are stored properly.Follow GMPs to maintain safety and quality standards in a food manufacturing environment.Manage inventory by checking labels and comparing inventory numbers to ensure proper placement.Inspect materials and trucks for inbound shipments, report issues, and offload as needed.Verify outbound shipments, ensuring truck conditions are suitable, load pallets securely, and document the process.Essential SkillsAt least two years of recent experience operating sit-down and high-reach forklifts, with preference for 3+ years.Proficiency in using RF scanners.Ability to work efficiently in tighter or confined spaces.Familiarity with inventory management and shipment processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP is a plus.Previous experience in shipping and receiving is preferred.Ability to operate turret trucks and high-reach forklifts is beneficial.Why Work Here?Join a globally renowned chocolate manufacturing company known for its core values and positive work environment. Shifts are available as follows: 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, and 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7:30 AM. Flexibility with overtime and weekend work is required, with potential to work two Saturdays a month. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment, and adhere to safety and operational procedures for chocolate preparation. Participate in daily meetings and stretching exercises at the start of each shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, California.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
