Duties and Responsibilities (essential duties are italicized)Material handling - 100% of the timePrepares operations for the next shift start up each morningStages material at lines for that shift's production scheduleReturns to stock all unused material from previous shiftRemoves recyclablesEmpties trashLabels and erects casesLabels and erects boxes for all lines in operation, completing as many as necessary throughout each shift to ensure that the Production Operators are fully stockedKeeps vial and cap hoppers filled for each line in operation, watching and refilling the hoppers as needed throughout each shift such that the Production Operators do not need to request a refillRecords lot numbers of all components used as they are pulled from stock, with no more than 1 error per monthAssists line operators with change-overs throughout shift, as neededPrints labels for jobs throughout shift, as neededSupplies pallets to each line, wraps finished pallets and moves the pallets to the warehouse throughout each shift such that all pallets that needed to be moved that shift have been moved by shift endCompletes required inventory transactions for receiving materials and transferring finished goods with each receipt and transfer, with no more than 1 error per monthReviews the production schedule, pulls materials for next job, and stages for each line throughout each shift such that the Production Operators are not waiting on materialsRelocates unused materials, waste and recyclable materials from the department to their appropriate storage areas throughout the shift such that none are left by shift endFills in for Production Operators, as neededPerforms basic trouble-shooting on machine, resolving basic problems.Escalates machine problems to the Maintenance Technician and or Supervisor as required.Completes electronic timecard daily with no more than 1 error per month.Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.Provides excellent customer service.Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.Follows all OSHA and Company safety guidelines, including use of PPE.Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.Performs all other duties as required.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredBasic computer usage including mouse.Skilled with a pallet jack.Ability to learn label printing software.Basic understanding of English to read work orders and write information.Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Ability to visually inspect required coding, product labeling, and finished goods to match products with the appropriate packaging.Ability to develop thorough understanding of operational procedures to practice safe manufacturing.Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, and walking for extended periods of time on a concrete floor, and frequently lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.Position spends approximately 95% of time standing at a production machine and 5% walking or moving about the production area.Vision must be within or correctable to within normal range.Must work from the McKinney office and be able to work on time on a regular basis during scheduled shift.This position will work 2:00pm- 10:30pm M-F with occasional OT and Saturday opportunity. This position starts at $16.65/hr and is paid a shift differential of $.75 for every hour worked during second shift.
