This role requires strong skills in capacity planning, strategic planning, and efficient changeover processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and develop plans to boost efficiency, lower expenses, and reach production objectives.Reduce downtime during changeovers between different production runs. Schedule and execute efficient transitions to sustain productivity.Identify and resolve production issues promptly using analytical thinking and a proactive approach.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance. Facilitate clear communication to ensure alignment with the production objectives.Assess and plan for the production capacity needed to meet demand. Understand machine capabilities, labor requirements, and material needs to determine efficient production levels.Provide tactical and strategic long-range scheduling expertise to production teamsCoordinate and review input from engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and business development to support and maintain master schedules for products using Microsoft Office or applicable softwarePrepare daily work schedules, track work progress, update and communicate project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to daily work activitiesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.10+ years of practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environmentProven experience in machining cell planning, preferably in a cast iron and cast steel machining environment.Knowledge of tool processing to ensure timely production.
