Equipment Operator

What You'll Do
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
- Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Keep heavy equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs
- Operate various fixed and/or mobile equipment; observing varying conditions; adjusting equipment controls
- Operates equipment to move material around the warehouse/yard
- Sort material by grade, size and per customer specs
- Transport material using assigned equipment
What You'll Need
- Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints and contribute to the team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive motions including finger movement, and twisting or pressure involving the wrists/hands
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Experience in either recycling or manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience operating heavy equipment required
- Minimum 1 year experience operating hydraulic cranes required
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
