Pay Information $1,896 per week About The Position Job Title: Travel RN - PCU/Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, NIH, BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ACLS (RN only) NIH (RN only) BLS (all) Description: This is a travel RN position in the PCU/Telemetry setting. The unit has 24 beds and a supportive staff. Staff includes charge nurses, registered nurses, and patient care technicians. Patient ratios are typically 5:1. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring and post-operative monitoring. Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech. Candidates with cardiac/telemetry and/or surgical experience are preferred. Typical procedures include post-operative recovery of surgical and catheter laboratory patients. Ideal candidates should possess a friendly, outgoing personality. Multi-tasking skills are essential, given the occasional high turnover of patients. The unit has a positive culture with excellent teamwork and collaboration. The variety of patient populations includes elective orthopedic, spine, GYN surgeries, and elective catheter laboratory procedures. Additionally, it includes care for stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure patients. The unit has a modified self-scheduling process, allowing for flexibility 3 weeks in advance.
