Reproductive Psychiatry with Addiction Medicine
Our
Women’s Behavioral Health
service launched the
Day Hospital,
the nation’s first perinatal partial hospital program treating pregnant women and new mothers with depression, anxiety, or other emotional distress, with their babies in a warm, nurturing setting.
Women’s Behavioral Health Reproductive Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine
Serve as the attending psychiatrist within WBH with primary focus in substance use disorders for perinatal patients.
Experience managing medications in pregnant and breastfeeding patients (perinatal mental health fellowship preferred but not required)
Assist with the build out of the WBH service line including:
Co-create substance use programming across the partial hospital program, intensive outpatient program, low intensity intensive outpatient program and recovery stabilization services.
Collaborate with CNE’s Behavioral Health service line to address gaps in care and build sustainable and inclusive specialty services.
Procedures include: induction of buprenorphine, methadone and naltrexone injections.
Teaching and precepting available to Brown University medical students, residents and fellows
Collegial, energetic team: 3 attending physicians, 2 APCs, 3 LICSWs, support staff
Light shared telephonic call, psychiatric residents take call for the inpatient service
