Job Description: Night Shift Ultrasound Technologist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract position working night shifts from Sunday to Wednesday, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in ultrasound, with preference given to those with previous charge experience. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time travelers looking to advance their careers in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound procedures including abdominal aorta, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, lung biopsy, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen imaging.
- Utilize equipment from GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the ER and ICU settings.
- Maintain a high standard of care while addressing patient needs and ensuring a safe environment.
- Ensure accurate documentation and charting using the EPIC system.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- New York state license in hand is mandatory for submission.
- Experience with charting systems, specifically EPIC.
Work Settings:
- Adult, ER, and ICU patient care.
- Night shift assignments for a variable patient ratio.
Additional Details:
- No locals accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility.
- Candidates must be willing to float as needed.
- Proper scrubs attire required: Caribbean blue or standard surgical scrubs from Unity.
