Radiology Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in preparing patients for examinations and performing diagnostic radiology procedures following established guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for examinations by receiving orders, making necessary entries in electronic medical records, and ensuring all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed.
- Performs diagnostic radiography procedures, including routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluoroscope equipment, and maintains proficiency in each area.
- Provides radiation safety for operators and patients.
- Obtains diagnostic radiographs by placing patients in proper positions, adhering to department policy regarding routine procedures.
- Positions anatomical parts in the necessary position to obtain optimum radiographs, observes patients throughout procedures, and responds to any observed changes.
- Critiques images and repeats them as necessary to ensure optimal results.
- Assumes duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary, processes images for interpretation, imports and burns CDs, performs QC tests on X-ray units, and impacts as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Ohio Radiographers license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.

Additional Information
This position supports injured worker care, pre-employment physicals, and other occupational health duties as assigned.
The Radiology Technologist will be trained to perform Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, vitals, vision/audio screenings, urine and breath alcohol tests.
Hours are 8:30a-5:00p, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or major holidays.
Part-time casual associates are required to work a minimum of 96 hours within a 6-month period to maintain employment.
Specialized Knowledge
Graduate of an approved accredited radiography program. Registered with ARRT; ODH Ohio Radiologic License, BLS certification. Thorough knowledge of various medical imaging procedures and equipment including proper technique and positioning, handling, and administering ionizing radiation to include contrast media agents, radiographic anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. Expresses superior customer service skills. Pleasant demeanor, neat, poised appearance. Ability to function as team member, with limited supervision. Highly motivated with effective written and verbal communication and effective organizational skills.
