*Job description*
We are looking for an additional optometrist for our excellent eye care team of 6 eye care providers. Base pay of $600 per day with production bonus. Current team members are pulling $170-200k a year with our compensation structure.
*Responsibilities*
Help our patients enjoy their best quality of life and vision by:
Providing primary refractive eye care including the prescription for eyeglasses and contacts.
Provide objective refraction eyeglass prescriptions for our patients vision loss from eye diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
Comanage care for patients with cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age related macular degeneration.
Provide ongoing medical care to patients with ocular surface disease, ocular inflammations and uveitis, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age related macular degeneration to the level of the doctors comfort.
Provide in-office emergency eye care for patients who have an urgent need including lost or broken eye wear, foreign bodies, eyes with pain, eyes that are red, and people with acute vision loss or visual disturbances.
Provide leadership to improve practice operations including teaching ophthalmic technicians procedures and documentation to improve work flow.
Weekend office coverage is 1/3 weekends.

In person at one of our satellite clinics in Beeville, Kingsville, or Alice Texas, with some shifts at our main office in Corpus Christi. The Coastal Bend Region of South Texas is beautiful and affordable with plenty of outdoor activities for anyone - fishing, surfing, and kite boarding to name a few.

*Qualifications*
Minimum education requirements: O.D. Degree from an accredited school of optometry.
Active license to practice Optometry in Texas. Optometric Glaucoma Specialist preferred.
No restrictions to practice recorded on the OIG exclusion list and able to care for government funded patients on Medicare and Medicaid
Eligible to work in the US
