A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join its legal team in
Woodland Hills, California . This role offers hands-on courtroom and litigation experience, with immediate involvement in the firm’s litigation process from initial filing through trial proceedings. Duties Draft, review, and file litigation motions, responses, and related court documents. Prepare for and handle trials, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations on behalf of clients. Communicate directly with consumers, opposing counsel, employers, and other relevant parties to negotiate and resolve cases. Appear in court for hearings, trials, and related matters, primarily within
Los Angeles County
and nearby regions. Travel as needed to courts within reasonable driving distance, with occasional overnight travel required. Review all legal pleadings and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance before filing. Work collaboratively with legal support staff to ensure smooth case management. Requirements Active license to practice law in the
State of California
(additional bar admissions in states such as MO, IA, NE, ID, WA, OR, AK, HI, or NV are a plus). Confidence and competence appearing in court and presenting cases effectively. Reliable transportation to ensure punctual court appearances. Strong organizational skills to manage court schedules, document preparation, and case follow-up. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Skills Strong legal research and writing abilities. Effective courtroom communication and advocacy. Detail-oriented document review and case analysis. Ability to balance multiple cases and deadlines efficiently. Professional communication with opposing counsel, clients, and court personnel. Flexibility to travel to court locations within the region as needed. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. 401(k) plan with employer matching.
