What it's like to be a Pre-Construction Manager at Pre-Construction Manager

As the Pre-Construction Project Manager at Green Leaf Construction, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and interfacing with owners, architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve technical matters throughout the planning and development phases. Your expertise in estimating will shine as you provide vital support for design/build and competitively bid projects, ensuring accuracy in documentation and communication across all project team disciplines. You will assist in confirming pricing during the buyout phase while creatively addressing challenges using value engineering and feasibility assessments. Your proactive approach will help identify market cost impacts, enabling seamless transitions between project phases. By preparing comprehensive project budgets and conducting thorough postmortem analyses, you will facilitate effective project handoffs with operations teams. Throughout the process, you'll maintain strong relationships with clients, following up to ensure satisfaction and fostering a commitment to excellence and integrity. What we're looking for in a Pre-Construction Manager

To thrive as a Pre-Construction Project Manager at Green Leaf Construction, you must possess a robust foundation in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, backed by 5-10 years of estimating and construction expertise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will be presenting project cost solutions to clients and collaborating closely with diverse project teams. Your ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple stakeholders will ensure seamless project delivery. Being extremely detail-oriented, you'll need to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans with precision. A thorough understanding of legal requirements and quality building practices will guide your decision-making. You should be adept at quickly identifying problems and implementing efficient solutions, all while actively supporting GLC's Safety Policies. Familiarity with software tools such as Procore, Excel, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Project will enhance your ability to manage projects effectively and streamline communication across the board. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. 5-10 years' experience in estimating and related construction expertise. Ability to communicate and clearly present project cost solutions to clients and project teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles. Extremely detail oriented. Ability to read understand and execute blueprints, drawings and plans. Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites. Thorough understanding of quality building practices. Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them. Actively support; enforce GLC Safety Policies. Procore Excel BlueBeam Microsoft Project and Word experience preferred.
