A warm and welcoming private family located in Washington D.C. is looking to hire a dedicated and proactive Household Assistant/Nanny to support their busy home. Both parents work full-time, and they're looking for someone who is reliable, kind, and comfortable managing household tasks with children and a dog in the mix. This is a long-term opportunity for the right fit. Children:

deep cleaner Responsibilities Maintain general cleanliness of the home (tidying, light cleaning, organizing) Manage family laundry (washing, folding, putting away) Basic food prep (packing kids' lunches, helping start dinner) Weekly grocery shopping and basic errands (walkable or online-no driving required) Provide occasional childcare (especially after school or camp, or when coverage gaps arise) Evening/date-night coverage as needed (optional) Ideal Candidate & Personality
The ideal candidate is reliable, warm, and takes initiative in managing daily household responsibilities. They should feel confident working around young children and a shedding dog, and be able to create a smooth, organized environment without needing much direction. A calm, proactive approach and flexibility-especially in the summer months-are key.
